While attending law school, Jay won awards for earning the highest grades in his class in both Corporations and Evidence, was recognized by Dean Valerie Couch for Outstanding Service to the School of Law, and was privileged to Intern/Extern with the Federal Public Defender’s Office, the Payne County District Attorney’s Office, the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, and the Honorable Robert Bacharach of the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Experience
Jay served in both the United States Marine Corps Reserve and the Oklahoma Army National Guard. He retired from a major metropolitan police department and is in his second career as a litigator. Most recently, he worked for a midsized corporate law firm before opening his own practice. He has represented people and companies in Divorce Actions, Criminal cases, Contract Disputes, Tort Claims, and in Administrative Hearings. He has practiced in Oklahoma District Courts, before the Oklahoma Supreme Court, and the Federal District Courts of Western and Northern Oklahoma.
